German journal "Elektronik" and the online portal elektroniknet.de have been crowning the "Product of the Year" for the last 17 years. Its editors nominate the most interesting and innovative products from 26 issues, plus special issues, that have been published throughout the year. From this initial selection, 10,000 readers then went on to choose the year's highlights. The winners were announced on 12 March 2015.
Specialist journal, Elektronik, first appeared on our shelves in the 1950s and now has the highest circulation among all professional electronics trade magazines in Germany (source IVW, Q II/2014). On average, each issue is read by 81,100 decision makers from the fields of research, development and construction (source: LA ELFA 12/13).
The EoSens® 25CXP went into the running in the automation category and was awarded second place.
"The EoSens® 25CXP is a 25 megapixel camera that is trimmed for speed," summarises Dr Würtenberg, Specialist Editor at the WEKA publishing house, while praising the product. "Even at full resolution, it is able to take 80 images per second. With Full HD, that's 1920 x 1080 pixels, it is even possible to take 880 images per second." Readers think these features are deserving of second place.
