The EoSens® CL series captures high-quality images at extremely high frame rates. At 3 megapixel resolution the EoSens® 3CL delivers 285 frames per second. Frame rates as high as 181,000 frames per second are possible at reduced resolution. The EoSens® 25CL+ operates at 31 frames per second, full frame.
Its robust Camera Link® interface transmits up to the full configuration Deca mode of 850 Mbytes per second. The EoSens® CL is available in Full and Base Camera Link® configuration. The EoSens® 3CL and EoSens® 25CL+ come in Full variant.
The series features image manipulation functions including multiple ROI‘s, arbitrary ROI shapes, FPN correction, and an Extended Dynamic Range feature.

Clients We Serve
Zellmechanik Dresden has developed an analytical procedure that allows the mechanical properties of 100,000 cells to be assessed in just two minutes – that is 10,000 faster than conventional methods. Thanks to the EoSens® CL, the team was able to reach such high speeds.
"The camera is easy to operate and can be contolled with LabVIEW. The support we've had from Mikrotron has been fantastic."
- Dr. Daniel Klaue, CEO, Zellmechanik Dresden GmbH
The Environmental Fluid Dynamics Group at ETH Zurich uses the 3D-PTV technique to study the swimming behaviour of copepods. Equipped with four EoSens® CL cameras, the system combines high recording durations, high light sensitivity and high-speed recording.
“The userfriendly control software makes things easy and the cameras are performing very well."
- Dr. François-Gaël Michalec, Postdoctoral Researcher, ETH Zurich
The Swedish Solar Telescope, run by the Institute for Solar Physics, can see at a resolution of up to 0.1 arc-seconds. It can see details the size of a 10 cent euro coin at a distance of about 40 km. This was achieved by use of an adaptive optics system. The system relies on the EoSens® CL for high-speed imaging.
"EoSens® CL camera does not require firmware updates and proprietary tools. The serial interface ASCII is also easy to use. The camera is very solid, compact and easy to mount. It is the easiest Camera Link® camera I have worked with.”
- Guus Sliepen, Research Engineer at the Institute for Solar Physics, Stockholm University

Isaac Bianco’s research group at University College London investigates neural control of visually guided behaviour in larval zebrafish. They use Mikrotron EoSens® CL cameras for high-speed analysis of larval zebrafish behaviour.
3D-Shape GmbH performs complex surface measurements using the principle of white light interferometry, advanced sensors, 3D image processing and powerful camera technology from Mikrotron GmbH.
"The EoSens® CL and 3CL cameras convinced us with its high frame rates combined with the capability to define flexible ROIs. They deliver high-quality images with low noise and operate very reliably. We also appreciate the good service Mikrotron provides."
- Thorsten Bloem, Product Management White Light Interferometry, 3D-Shape GmbH
